Position: Early Childhood Education Teacher

Purpose: To develop and implement a daily classroom program in accordance with ECEAP Program Standards and the ECEAP Work Plan for ECEAP Children enrolled in the center base program.

Minimum Qualifications:
A two-year degree in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of two years' experience working in a preschool, kindergarten or with special needs children in an educational setting, may consider variations.

Successfully pass a criminal history background check, which may include fingerprinting. Must be able to lift or assist in lifting a pre-school age child.

Preferred Qualifications:
BA Degree in the field of early childhood education or child development from an accredited institution of higher education. AND a minimum of one year of successful experience working in a preschool, kindergarten or with special needs children in an educational setting.

Position: Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher

Purpose: To Assist the ECEAP Teacher in all aspects of managing the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:
Actively working on AA Degree or Experienced in ECEAP participation. May consider variations which include special education endorsement. Must successfully pass a criminal history background check, which will include fingerprinting.
Must be able to lift, or assist in lifting a pre-school age child.

Position: Family Time Visit Coordinator

Purpose: To transport and oversee visits between children and families in foster care. Purposeful visits improve safety, permanency and well being outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Education and Experience to equal four years. Variables may be considered. AND Successfully pass a criminal history background check, which will include fingerprinting. Valid driver license, current auto insurance and clear driving abstract. Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting children. CPR and First Aid certification, bloodborne pathogen certificate. Two written references from prior employers documenting skill working with children.

Position: Family Support Specialist & Advocate

Purpose: The job of Family Support Specialist is to provide quality comprehensive child/family support services to children birth to 5 years and their families; provide support, training, and case management to assist parents in meeting the needs of their children; enhance parents’ role as the primary influence on their child’s education and development; support parents in increasing their economic stability; determine eligibility for the program and enrolling families in the program; enlist parental involvement in child educational programs; work with parents in identifying and achieving goals; access support services; create training programs; and facilitate positive parent, school, and student relationships.

Position: Lead Cook

Purpose:
This position is responsible for the ordering, preparing, serving and documenting of meals and snacks for a 142-capacity childcare center. It includes developing and following menus and all phases of kitchen operations including inventory control. Supervision of kitchen staff, and timely completion of all meals. The position prepares foods for children 1 month through 12 years old following USDA/CACFP standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
The individual must be at least 21 years of age and have had food preparation experience. Needs to be able to comply with any state food permit/health requirements. Complete and pass a DCYF background check. Have a negative TB test and current First aid/CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in quantity food preparation and inventory control is preferred. Previous USDA/CACFP experience preferred.  A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

Position: Street Outreach Navigator

Purpose:
Individual will be responsible for building relationships with people experiencing homelessness. This will occur either during street outreach, community outreach, or during client contact at various locations (including by not limited to MCFHC and Tacoma Recovery Center). Case managers will be required to collect information from each person experiencing homelessness for data purposes and HMIS entry. All interactions with clients will be strength-based, utilizing creative conversations, client-driven, and with the housing stability (permanent housing through Coordinated Entry) as the end result.

Position: Bus Driver

Purpose: To transport children to and from school and to field trip destinations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age with additional driver’s license endorsement for school bus. Five year driving abstract must be available and clear of infractions. Provide DOT physical. Will have completed or willingness to complete School Bus Driver training course.
