Wapato Day of Health/Día de Salud

Latinx Unidos de South Sound (LUSS) is co-hosting a vaccine clinic at Wapato Lake Park in partnership with Tacoma Tree Foundation, Tacoma Creates, and TPCHD. All family members ages 5 and over can receive a Pfizer vaccine, and those 12 and older can receive a booster.

The vaccine clinic will be held in front of the building on the east side of the park, there will also be champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate) and pan de dulce (Mexican sweet bread) available for participants. Tacoma Tree Foundation will be leading two family-friendly tree walks around the park. Dogs are also welcome to join the tree walks.

This event is an excellent way for community members to get close to nature in Tacoma and learn about the trees and plants at Wapato Lake Park, and of course, receive their first, second, or booster vaccine against COVID-19.
